Welcome to the IntenCity Festival Craiova — the flagship event of the Craiova summer and the largest music festival in southern Romania. At the Ion Oblemenco Stadium and the Polyvalent Hall, Craiova transforms annually, at the end of June, into the international music capital of Romania.
IntenCity is not just a music festival — it is a platform for promoting excellence, an event that consolidates Craiova's position on the national and international cultural map year after year. Organized by the Craiova Romanian Opera with the support of the City Hall and the Local Council, the festival combines in a single experience of a few days varied musical styles — from pop and EDM to reggaeton, hip-hop, latin, rock and electronic — on three simultaneous stages.
From the first edition in August 2022 — which brought DJ Snake, Jason Derulo, Afrojack, Luis Fonsi and Clean Bandit to the stage — to the 2025 edition, with headliners of the caliber of J Balvin, Bebe Rexha, G-Eazy, Timmy Trumpet and Paris Hilton, the festival has grown constantly, extending the program from 3 to 4 days and adding a third stage. IntenCity is, without a doubt, the most ambitious musical project in the history of Craiova.

It is the place where tens of thousands of fans experience together the moments that remain in memory for years.
The IntenCity Main Stage concept is ambitious: on the same stage, in the same evenings, completely different musical styles coexist — from world reggaeton (J Balvin, Tyga) to electronic (Meduza, Timmy Trumpet), international pop (Bebe Rexha, Foster The People), hip-hop (G-Eazy), latin (Gianluca Vacchi, Aaron Sevilla), rock (Chris Catena's Rock City Tribe) and quality Romanian pop (Loredana, Speak, Nicole Cherry). It is the festival where all artists could be headliners — the motto from the first edition, consistently respected.
The VIP area in front of the Main Stage offers the best angle and the least crowded space. If you have a General Access pass, arriving 1–2 hours before the evening's headliner ensures you a spot close to the stage. The sound is impeccable even at a distance — no need to crowd.
Polyvalent Hall Stage
🎧 Electronic · Hip-Hop · Trap · DJ SetsCraiova's Polyvalent Hall hosts the stage dedicated to electronic and hip-hop music — an indoor space that creates a huge club atmosphere, with impeccable sound and a distinct energy compared to the Main Stage. It is the place for DJ fans and urban sounds.
The Polyvalent Hall lineup at the 2025 edition included headliners of the caliber of Eran Hersh (the Israeli DJ who conquered the European melodic electronic scene), alongside the most appreciated voices of Romanian rap: Șatra B.E.N.Z., Guess Who, El Nino, CTC, Nane, Ian, Rava and a series of artists representing the new wave of Romanian urban music: Bad and Boujee, Rareș, YNY Sebi, Amuly, Erika Isac, MGL, Miss Martello, Azteca.
The program at the Polyvalent Hall runs in parallel with the Main Stage — festival-goers can alternate between the two locations during the same evening, creating a complete and personalized musical experience.

🎸 Rock · Romanian Pop · Legends · New in 2025SoundBridge by Europa FM is the latest addition to the IntenCity ecosystem — a third stage launched at the 2025 edition, located on the Ion Oblemenco Stadium esplanade and coordinated by the Europa FM team, the festival's media partner. The stage brings a completely different vibe to the program compared to the other two.
The SoundBridge lineup is dedicated to quality Romanian rock and pop, with presences covering both the legends of the genre and the new generation: Iris, Proconsul, Voltaj, Cabron — four of the most important Romanian rock bands — and Daria Lupi, alongside Europa FM DJs (DJ Claudiu Ghiorghiu, DJ Little, Sonati). It is the stage where music lovers with more sophisticated tastes find an alternative to the explosive energy of the Main Stage.

📅 August 26–28, 2022 · Ion Oblemenco StadiumThe first edition of the IntenCity Festival took place on August 26–28, 2022 and immediately placed Craiova on the map of major music festivals in Romania. Organized by the Craiova Romanian Opera with the support of the City Hall, with promoter Marcel Avram — known for tours with Michael Jackson, AC/DC, Metallica, Elton John — involved in bringing international artists, the first edition exceeded all expectations.
2022 Headliners: DJ Snake (Grammy nominated, known for "Taki Taki"), Jason Derulo (12 platinum records), Afrojack (Grammy winner, Beyoncé collaborator), Luis Fonsi (creator of "Despacito"), Clean Bandit (Symphony, Rockabye — billions of views), Paul van Dyk (Grammy winner), Lost Frequencies. Alongside them, a nostalgic selection of 80s–90s legends: Thomas Anders, East 17, La Bouche, Sandra, Ice MC, Boney M XP, Ricchi e Poveri. Over 40 artists on stage.

4th Edition — The Most Ambitious

The festival also expanded beyond the stadium — the official Pool Party at Water Park Craiova offered an explosive warm-up day before the main concerts.
A special artistic moment was the collaboration between Henrique Camacho and the Craiova Romanian Opera Orchestra on the Main Stage — an unexpected fusion of classic and modern that pleasantly surprised festival-goers and demonstrated that IntenCity can also be a space for artistic innovation, not just mass entertainment.

IntenCity is organized by the Craiova Romanian Opera — one of the few situations in the world where a classic culture institution becomes the producer of an international pop and EDM festival. Marcel Avram — Michael Jackson's promoter. At the first edition, promoter Marcel Avram — the man who organized the European tours of Michael Jackson, AC/DC, Metallica, Elton John, Rod Stewart and Prince — contributed to bringing the international headliners.
